The next
meeting of Sutton Coldfield Speakers Club is on Thursday 24th January at 7.45pm for an 8pm start. This will be the clubs annual Speech & Topics Competitions.
The club speech competition is open to all members. In this contest the speaker speaks for 6 to 8 minutes on a topic of their choice. The topics contest is different altogether with speakers speaking impromptu for 3 minutes on a subject of the judges choosing.
The winner of the Speech Contest will go forward to the West Midlands Area Contest on February 18th in Wolverhampton. The club will also nominate a member to compete in the Area Evaluation Contest held on the same evening.
The winner of the Topics Contest will go forward to the West Midlands Area Topics Contest to be held in the autumn.
Competition chairman for the evening will be Ammo Singh. As with all of our meetings all guests are welcome.
